Dryer vent cleaning in Amarillo & the Panhandle

The signs your vent is blocked
Clothes coming out damp after a full cycle. The dryer or the laundry room getting unusually hot. A burning smell. Lint collecting around the outside vent hood, or the hood flap not opening when the dryer runs. Any of those means restricted airflow, and restricted airflow is what turns lint into a fire risk.
How we clean it
We brush and vacuum the full run of ducting — not just what's reachable from either end — from the dryer connection through to the exterior termination. Long runs, multiple elbows, and roof terminations are all normal here. We check the vent hood and flap, confirm airflow at the outlet before and after, and clean out the dryer's own lint trap housing while we're in there.
Repairs and rerouting
Sometimes cleaning isn't the whole answer. Crushed flexible foil ducting, runs that are far longer than the manufacturer allows, a termination venting into a crawlspace, or too many elbows will re-clog no matter how well we clean it. We replace bad ducting with rigid metal and reroute the run where the layout is the actual problem.

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?
Once a year for a typical household. More often if you have a large family, dry pet bedding, or the run to the outside is long or has several bends.
Can you clean the dryer vent while you're here for the chimney?
Yes, and that's the efficient way to do it — book them together and we handle both on one visit rather than two trip charges.
My dryer is in the middle of the house. Can you still do it?
Yes. Interior laundry rooms usually mean a long duct run with several elbows, which is exactly the setup that clogs. We clean the full run and will tell you if the routing itself needs improving.
