Dumas gets the full force of Panhandle wind with very little to break it, and that's the defining factor for chimneys up there. Wind-driven rain pushes water into mortar joints from the windward side, and we see far more one-sided spalling and flashing failure in Moore County than we do in town. Chimney caps also take a beating — we replace a lot of them.
